Should all liquor retailers stop selling Absolut Vodka in protest of the advertising in Mexico?

They are smart enough to know the implications of such advertising and it comes off as anti American.|||Yeah, they should apologize for that. I'm not into boycotting or protesting or apologizing for that matter. But I'm sick and tired of other countries *****!ng and whining about their beliefs and making Americans apologize for something we didn't do intentionally, then dogging America, as if though they would never lay a foot here. In which they would dream of living here. We should protest just like the Muslims yap about Muhammed and Iraqis flap their sandals in the air whenever a US helicopter goes down and when Mexicans yap about the border wall. We also have the right to go into the streets and toss bottles of Vodka at walls and have our feelings hurt.|||no|||so whats the ad about? i havent seen it but i wanna what you are talking about|||I say we close down the borders and let Absolut advertise all they want.|||It's rotgut trash anyway, probably only poor whites/blacks and latinos drink that swill anyway.|||Why don't prople just stop buying it if they are so upset? I don't think retailers should cut off their noses if people want it.|||No, can't anybody take a joke??|||No. The US needs to learn to stop being overly sensitive, we BOMB other peoples countries, and no one has the right to make fun of us? Bah.|||It wasn't a mistake. But no, I don't think they should stop selling it. They apologized... so, whatever, good enough|||Will somebody post linkage about this already.|||Yes!

Link to article below for those who have not seen it.|||Yes, I think it should be boycotted. They new exactly what they were doing.|||No. Who cares? It's historical fact. If the U.S. starts to throw a hissy fit and hide what the real history of the region is then we are no different than Third Reich Germans that did the same...|||People have no sense of humor these days.|||They probably knew they'd get this reaction. Any advertising is good advertising, no?

Besides, so many people now hate the US, it'll probably boost their sales outside the US.|||ABSOLUTELY|||first Faux News, now Yahoo.

i dont see why this is a big story. the ad is just a joke. people are overreacting|||No, because that would be ignorant. Not everyone feels the same jingoism you feel.|||Its actually a kickass looking picture. I wonder how the world would be if it was still like that?|||I'm not going to drink it anymore...grey goose is better anyway, though I do usually order absolute...|||You can see what alcohol is doing to your brain. Maybe they know more than we know. delirium tremens.|||no way. why can't we take it as the historical fact that it is and have a sense of humore for a change. i don't even think they should have apologized. it's ridiculous. let's look at the real issues facing our country!!!|||Its very anti-American. And just because it "appeals to Mexican sensitivities" doesnt make it any different. In my Absolut world, they'd keep illegal Mexicans in Mexico too. Lets see them make that ad and then try to justify it.

I wont pour my Absolut down the drain, but I wont be purchasing any more for quite some time either, there are plenty of other good Vodka's out there.|||I don't drink period but yes...they should...|||If you were a History buff, you might understand this sentiment... Many Mexicans feel like the Southwest was stolen by the US following the Mexican American War... Truth, is there is an argument there... It was a Ad, that was catering to the Mexican People... We Americans need to stop being so self centered, its not all about us...|||No.|||no, US will be 50% mexicans a majority by 2100 anyway= hispanic president.|||that is so gay they should be leagle or get out|||bet McCains booze hound wife is stocking up as we speak!!|||No, I'm still buying Absolut Vodka, cause it's the best, it has a nice smooth flavor that no other can surpass, it's so refreshing.

Have an Absolut and you won't be so angry.|||No, because it is the truth. As hard as it is for Americans to swallow. It's funny how we only embrace the history that we want to instead of the truth!
